Several months ago, an enthusiastic young man named Daryl Smeeton approached us with an amazing app idea.
As a passionate online gamer himself, he had an idea to make a social media app specifically for gamers.
After carefully listening to his creative concept, we explained our app development process and 25-year-old Smeeton decided to move forward with BrainyApps.
I personally think he made an excellent choice, though my opinion may be a bit biased. 😉
Daryl’s app is still under development, but the buzz about GuildBook, a social media app for gamers, is already starting to build.
Below is a brief interview with Daryl Smeeton about the GuildBook app. Check it out!
Full report by Adam Donnelly of CFJC News
In the original article in which this video appears, Daryl says he was “looking for a way to connect with other members in his circle of gaming friends.”
Since he could not find an existing app in the app stores that did what he wanted it to, he decided to just go ahead and make his own mobile app (that’s when he found us).
The article goes on to say:
With his background in online marketing, Daryl decided to try and develop an app online gamers could use to connect with other gamers, around the world. So he came up with the idea for GuildBook, which allows gamers to communicate and coordinate with others within their gaming communities.
“It’s basically for people who play together every night,” Smeeton said. “[For these players] there’s no way to communicate… until they get online,” adding “this gives people the ability to stay connected.”
Since Daryl’s app is still under development, we are respecting his desire to keep all GuildBook images and screenshots under wraps until he is ready for the anticipated media frenzy.
When this app is released and eventually becomes the equivalent of Facebook for online gamers, remember you heard it here first. 😉
Stay tuned to the BrainyApps blog to be notified when GuildBook is completed and published in the Google Play store (scheduled for early 2017).
